Today's Thoughts By Jeff Head 12/15/12 A Moment Please
A moment please, a moment to step back and say a prayer, a moment to take notice and give our condolences to those families that lost their loved ones, their babies yesterday to yet another monster that was hiding amongst us. Thank you.

The stories are everywhere, each with just a different twist as to what happened at this small school house in Connecticut yesterday. All we can do is wait for the official outcome that will take months if not years to became available to us. Then it will be debated and twisted and used for political purposes as it already has. Yes, they have already started. We know what happened though, a strange man, a monster walks into a classroom full of our most innocent, our babies and unloads his weapons into them. Then as the ones still alive watch, he reloads and takes aim again. Over and over until all of them have left this world and their families forever. A moment please as we catch our breath.

It is too early to write this but I feel I must. As I contemplate where we go from here I am already hearing that we as a Nation have to drop the political positioning and do something about guns. They will not even let our babies be identified and returned to the families that love them before they start their attacks. It is wrong I feel and even more wrong if we allow them to use this tragedy to continue to take away our Constitutional rights to protect ourselves and our families from the monsters that walk among us.

I could sit here and quote all the facts and numbers that I listened to all day yesterday but I will not. I will just condense them down to show the reality of them. From schools to temples to theaters to even a summer camp in a different country where eighty five people lost their lives one thing has become perfectly clear to me, these monsters, theses cowards are seeking out known gun free zones to do their dastardly deeds.

It is time we faced the reality of this. Political correctness is allowing our loved ones to be gunned down without even the possibility of defending themselves. In the Aurora, Co shooting just a few months back, of all the theaters within a ten mile radius of where that coward lived; only one displayed signs disallowing fire arms within the theater. The theater of course that was chosen for the site of his massacre and if you look back, each and every instance of this nature takes place where guns are not allowed.

Politically correct gun free zones are a magnet for cowards to walk in and execute as many innocent people as possible. Taking away our guns will not stop this. Box cutters were used to bring down planes that destroyed the Twin towers in New York. Fertilizer dropped a building in Oklahoma City and a small homemade pipe bomb kill in Atlanta during the Olympics. These cowardly monsters will find a path to their destruction now matter how politically correct we become as a nation.

Yesterday as I understand it, this particular coward went into the schools office first and started his deed there. Then he went on to the first of two classrooms.  The order at this point really does not matter. What matters is yet another political correct gun free zone left any law abiding adult unarmed and unable to save the lives of those babies. We as a nation, failed to protect those babies.

It is time we stood up as a nation and demanded our God given constitutional right to defend ourselves from these monsters that our politically correct culture is creating at a faster pace each day. To realize that the world will always produce yet another monster looking to top the last coward and get themselves noticed to the world. Gun free zones are not protecting our children, our loved ones; they are setting them up as targets. It is time that we allow grown up legal adults with the proper training to carry the necessary protection wherever they go.

Will this stop these kinds of attacks from ever happening again, absolutely not. But the number of dead will be limited to one or two. Not twenty of our most precious babies. What a sad day for our country.

Be safe peeps.
